“Party for Partnership: Twist and Shout” raises $122,870 for Health Partnership Clinic
More than 240 guests attended Health Partnership Clinic’s Annual event, “Party for Partnership” on August 13. Donned in 60s attire, guests celebrated the many accomplishments of the Clinic and danced to the music of Platinum Express. Bryan Busby of KMBC 9 served as Master of Ceremonies.
The Health Partnership Clinic has seen an increase in demand for services with the economic downturn. Over $122,000 raised from the annual event will go toward supporting the ongoing health care needs of low-income, uninsured, Johnson County residents, which the Clinic serves.
The evening’s success was due in a large part to its generous corporate sponsors: The Medical Staffs of Overland Park Regional Medical Center, Saint Luke’s South Hospital, Menorah Medical Center, Shawnee Mission Medical Center and Olathe Medical Center along with Blue Cross Blue Shield of Kansas City, Barton P. & Mary D. Cohen Charitable Trust, Children’s Mercy Hospitals & Clinics, Coventry Healthcare of Kansas, Lockton Companies, Preferred Physicians Medical and Spencer Fane Britt & Browne LLP.
The Health Partnership Clinic provides quality, free medical and dental care for low-income, uninsured Johnson County residents through the ongoing generosity of over 100 volunteers. The Clinic partners with the five major hospitals of Johnson County- Menorah Medical Center, Olathe Medical Center, Overland Park Regional Medical Center, Saint Luke’s South Hospital and Shawnee Mission Medical Center, who provide in kind radiology and laboratory services. Last year, the clinic provided over 11,000 patient visits, and always welcomes volunteers and financial support.
